Sabaai ("Sabaai", "we", "us", or "our") is a Thai language learning application designed to help users learn useful Thai words and phrases.
We designed Sabaai with privacy in mind. The app does not require an account, and your learning data is stored locally on your device.
Sabaai stores information related to your use of the app locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This may include:
Learning and practice progress
Spaced-repetition and review data
Favorite phrases and words
Custom phrases that you create
Daily streak information
App preferences and settings
Widget preferences
This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to Sabaai's servers.
Sabaai does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, phone number, or other account information.
Sabaai uses TelemetryDeck to understand how the app is used and to help us improve its features, performance, and user experience.
TelemetryDeck is designed to provide privacy-friendly analytics. Sabaai does not use TelemetryDeck to collect information such as your name, email address, or other information intended to directly identify you.
Analytics may include information such as:
App features and screens used
General usage events
App version
Device and operating system information
Language and locale settings
Technical information related to app performance
Analytics information is used to understand aggregate usage patterns, identify problems, and improve Sabaai.
Sabaai allows you to create your own Thai phrases and maintain learning information such as favorites, practice history, and spaced-repetition progress.
This content is stored locally on your device. We do not receive or have access to the custom phrases you create or your personal learning history through our own servers.
Deleting the app may result in the deletion of locally stored data, subject to Apple's device backup and restoration functionality.
Sabaai provides Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets that can display Thai words and phrases.
Widget functionality uses information made available locally by the app. Using widgets does not require a Sabaai account.
Depending on your subscription and settings, widgets may refresh at different intervals.
Sabaai offers optional paid subscriptions, including monthly and yearly Pro subscriptions.
Purchases and subscription payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Sabaai does not directly collect or process your payment card or banking information.
Apple may process information related to your purchase according to Apple's own privacy policies.
Sabaai may receive information from Apple necessary to determine whether you have an active subscription or access to purchased features. This does not include your full payment card information.
The limited analytics and technical information processed in connection with Sabaai is used to:
Operate and maintain the app
Understand how features are used
Improve learning features and user experience
Identify technical problems and crashes
Measure general app usage and performance
We do not use your learning data to create advertising profiles.
Sabaai does not display third-party advertising.
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.
Sabaai does not use analytics for cross-app or cross-website advertising tracking.
We do not use your activity in Sabaai to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.
Sabaai relies on services provided by third parties for certain functionality.
These include:
Apple — for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, subscriptions, and functionality provided by iOS.
TelemetryDeck — for privacy-focused app analytics.
These third parties may process limited information according to their own privacy policies and applicable law.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
Information may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate Sabaai, such as TelemetryDeck and Apple.
We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
Learning data stored locally on your device remains there until it is removed by you, removed through app functionality, or deleted when the app or its associated data is removed from your device.
Analytics information processed through TelemetryDeck is subject to TelemetryDeck's applicable retention practices.
Sabaai is a general language-learning application and is not specifically directed at children.
We do not knowingly request names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information from children through Sabaai.
If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to address it.
Third-party service providers used by Sabaai may process information in countries other than the country in which you live.
Where applicable, such processing is subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable data-protection laws.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information processed about you, including rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or data portability.
Most personal learning information in Sabaai is stored only on your device and is therefore controlled directly through the app and your device.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data-protection requirements, personal data will only be processed where there is an appropriate legal basis.
Where analytics information constitutes personal data, processing may be based on consent or another applicable legal basis depending on how the service is configured and the requirements of applicable law.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
We take reasonable measures to protect information associated with Sabaai.
Because your learning progress, favorites, custom phrases, and similar information are stored locally, the security of this information also depends on the security of your device and Apple's operating-system protections.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy when Sabaai's features, data practices, third-party services, or legal requirements change.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
Material changes may also be communicated through the app or other appropriate means.
