Module 8: Charting the Future for Academic Success

The outcomes for Module 8 are extensions of those for Module 7 -- in fact, of your entire year's School2Home professional learning.

Outcomes:

Through participating in this School2Home module, you will have the opportunity to:

• review and reinforce previous learning that has been presented in the prior modules.
• apply your acquired knowledge and skills to construct a learning activity/lesson plan for use in your classroom.
• support your forward-facing professional growth and help chart your growth journey through a "Future Letter" activity.

When you've successfully completed this module, you should be able to:

• describe the knowledge and skill you've acquired across the various topics of the School2Home curriculum and professional learning.
• create a learning activity/lesson plan incorporating one or more of the elements covered that represents a step up on the SAMR model (a step up the SAMR ladder, or going deeper in the SAMR pool).
• Identify organizations and resources that will enable you to create a plan for continued professional learning about the use of technology with the goals of improving your teaching practice and supporting student learning in your classroom.
