My Published Haiku in The Haiku Foundation’s Haiku Dialogue
The Haiku Foundation's Haiku Dialogue allows poets to submit haiku in response to a prompt initiated by a guest editor. When I discovered the challenge during lockdown it was a weekly prompt but the increasing popularity, and no doubt the inreasing workload on the guest editors, saw it change to a fortnightly prompt in January 2023, then a triweekly prompt in January 2024.
When I first started submitting I found it SO VERY encouraging to have most of my submissions selected. It endorsed to me that my haiku writing was on the right track. Sometimes I even had some commentary from the editor ... so exciting to get feedback especially when starting out and not in a haiku workshopping group. Now I only submit when time allows and the theme resonates.
Below are my haiku selected for Haiku Dialogue to date. The link to the right of the theme takes you to that particular Haiku Dialogue page.
