very proud to have this haiku (words only) selected for Hauling the Tide, The Haiku Society of America Members' Anthology 2024 edited by Edward Cody Huddlestone, published August 2024.
It was inspired by a photo I took of flowers in the garden and when I zoomed in I found another garden!

spring rain
24 October 2021. The first weekend sprinklers are allowed to be used in the garden again after an 18-month ban (in Auckland), it rains and rains and rains. My apple tree in blossom is brightening up an otherwise gloomy grey day.
