The template above displays my SWOT analysis. From the SWOT list, I have identified a specific weakness among the students and implemented as the focus of my Action Research. The weakness I have highlighted is as follows:
Students are used to passive learning and Lower Order Thinking (LOT)
1. Ten years of teaching experience in L1 classrooms.
2. Being technology savvy.
3. The ability to communicate in all three languages.
4. Passion for gaining new knowledge.
5. Sound knowledge of the local culture.
6. The ability to apply new knowledge in the classroom.
7. The ability to influence administration to get support.
1. Some students have a lack of confidence to speak in English
2. There are disturbances from surrounding classrooms.
3. Students are reluctant to volunteer for activities due to shyness
4. Students exhibit a lack of interest in asking questions

1. Time consumed by paperwork and bureaucratic procedures.
2. Economic conditions of students.
3. Lack of well-planned term schedules.
4. Unscheduled programs implemented by the MOE (Ministry of Education).
5. Poor quality tuition classes, specifically citing a lack of professionalism and LOT.
6. Delay in implementing education reforms.
