I received my PhD in mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Idris Assani.
I was a postdoctoral researcher of mathematics at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen, China. My research areas are ergodic theory and dynamical systems. My supervisor was Prof. Jana Rodriguez Hertz.
Prior to that, I was a postdoc at Facultad de Matemáticas of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. My research there was partially supported by CONICYT-Fondecyt Postdoctorado 3170279. My supervisor at the time was Prof. Godofredo Iommi.
I was born and raised in Japan for 13 years prior to moving to the United States in 2001. I received my B.S. in mathematics (with honors) from the University of Oregon in 2011.
