Profile

Dr. Ryo Kurachi is a Designated Associate Professor for the Center for Embedded Computing Systems at Nagoya University. He received Ph.D. in Information Science from Nagoya University. His research interests include real-time systems, real-time scheduling, embedded computing systems, automotive systems and cybersecurity. He is a member of ACM, JSAE, IEEE, IEICE and IPSJ.

He started working in the automotive field in 2000. He has worked with AISIN AW Co., Ltd (merged by AISIN CORPORATION in April 2021), where he has been a software engineer for architecture exploration and embedded software development of automotive navigation systems until 2006. Since 2006, he works for the Center for Embedded Systems at Nagoya University (NCES) as a researcher of real-time systems and embedded computing systems.

He currently focuses on research and educational activity for automotive cybersecurity. He is the chair of the automotive cybersecurity education program of JSAE. He is also a member of AUTOSAR X-SEC, Alliance for Promoting Mobility Innovation, SCDL, and a technical advisor of several companies.
