Ryo Yoshimura
ABOUT ME
Ryo Yoshimura is a Ph.D. student in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at the University of Osaka, expected to graduate in March 2028. His research focuses on gyroscopic wave energy converters and their role in advancing renewable energy. Ryo also explores wave prediction, hydrodynamic interactions, and Point Absorber Wave Energy Converters.
He holds a Master's degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Osaka University, where he graduated as salutatorian. Ryo earned his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy from the University of Hyogo.
His research has been published in leading journals such as Applied Ocean Research and Ocean Engineering. Ryo has presented his work at major conferences, including the International Ocean and Polar Engineering Conference and the Japan Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers.
In addition, Ryo is part of the Next Generation Researcher Development Project at Osaka University. He is also interested in topics like green transformation (GX) and disaster preparedness.
