My last name is Lepic, which rhymes with the English word epic
If you'd like to get in touch, please email my first and last name, separated by a period, at gallaudet dot edu.
You can also check out my Google Scholar page for updates! I am still on Twitter but definitely not using it as much, and I'm also neglecting my Bluesky account.
Sorry, but I don't use any of those other academic social media websites. Even my ORCiD page is only sometimes up to date.
My background
Some major influences on my linguistic interests:
Dabrowska's development of usage-based linguistics, especially her 2014 paper in Cognitive Linguistics
Bybee's development of usage-based linguistics, especially her 2006 paper in Language
Ackerman, Blevins, and Malouf's development of word-based morphology, especially their 2016 papers on this topic
I am not really a fan of handbooks, but the Oxford Handbook of Construction Grammar came out at exactly the right time in my career
Croft's approach to linguistic typology, especially his 2001 and 2022 books
Padden's work in "patterned" iconicity, starting with our 2013 paper
Emmorey's textbook on sign language and cognition
van Gelderen's textbooks on English grammar and its history
