Santa Sleigh Programme Overview

Each December, Rotary York Ainsty brings Santa and his Sleigh to the streets and venues of York. Families can meet Santa on street collections, at supermarkets and static sites, and during community events across the city.

These festive appearances aren’t just about spreading cheer — they also raise vital funds for local charities and good causes, supported by our partner organisations.

We are grateful for the generosity of York’s residents and supporters, whose contributions help make a real difference all year round.

Street Collections

On selected evenings, Santa’s Sleigh tours the streets of York with a variety of partner charities and organisations. 

Supermarket & Static Venues

Santa also makes appearances outside local supermarkets and other fixed venues. 

Community Events

Beyond fundraising, Santa’s Sleigh attends parties and gatherings hosted by community groups and organisations. 

Charity Collector Partners

Rotary York Ainsty in partnership with a variety of local charities and community organisations who support the fundraising collections by providing a teams of collectors for the door-to-door street collections.
