Brightspace is currently in use at the Extension campus. The user Interface and branding seen here is subject to change, once the final unified instance is decided upon. However, a preview of how the homepage, and course layout looks can be seen in the images below. Please refer to this curated D2L playlist on YouTube for a more detailed preview of all the tools and how to use them.

The grading interface in the assignments tool offers feedback options and advanced annotation features that will be a sigh of relief to instructors who are looking to have an improved experience with grading.
Creator + is an integrated feature that helps instructors to build beautifully designed, customized, interactive lessons right within the text editor. Watch the video for a preview of what's possible, so you can get excited about designing content for your students! Features include timelines, callouts, knowledge checks, flip-cards, sorting and sequencing activities, and templates!
Accessibility is coming more and more into the forefront of concerns for instructors. Fortunately, D2L embraces accessibility as one of their core values in creating their LMS, so it's built in by design.
The e-portfolio feature in Brightspace is a tool that offers instructors and students an opportunity to showcase their work and subject matter mastery through posting, thoughts, reflections, assignments and presentations. The e-portfolio is shareable within the LMS. Brightspace also offers other assessment tools, such as both a holistic and an analytic rubric, to further customize student learning paths.
24/7 live chat support will be enabled in our instance. Lumi chat is an AI enhanced tool that sources information from within the D2L Brightspace community.
