Inside Me is a grassroots initiative that empowers visually impaired students through education-integrated vocational training, aligning closely with the RPWD Act and the National Action Plan for Skill Development of Persons with Disabilities (2015).
We begin working with students from a young age, using tactile art to help them visualize complex concepts. As they progress, a select group of students receives specialized training in holistic healing therapies like reflexology—hands-on skills that require touch, sensitivity, and intuition, not sight.
To build confidence and exposure, students also participate in embassy fetes, art fairs, and public events, where they develop presentation and communication skills. By the time they graduate, these students are not only educated, but equipped with practical skills, real-world experience, and the confidence to lead self-reliant, financially independent lives.

We focus on training students’ minds to translate audio into visual, commencing with the simple act of holding a crayon and gradually advancing their ability to draw and write like their sighted peers. At Rashtriya Virjanand Andh Kanya Vidyalaya in New Rajinder Nagar, Delhi, Inside Me places significant emphasis on integrating robust skills with academic learning, particularly through drawing, to enhance our students' visual comprehension.
