My name is Russell Dinkins and I am an activist and creative strategist who builds and leads movements that create substantive change.
I not only speak truth to power, I develop strategies to bring about solutions.
I led grassroots campaigns that successfully pressured four universities via media and legal strategies to reinstate diverse sports teams that were slated for elimination.
I created a job at Princeton University, my alma mater, where I identified and implemented programs to support low-income and first-generation students.
I see a problem and I organize a way to solve it.
ABOUT ME
I grew up in inner-city Philly and attended Princeton University for college where I was a 3x All-American and NCAA Champion in track and field. Post college, I placed 4th at the US Indoor Nationals and was ranked within the top 15 in the 800m in the US in 2017.
I have worked in higher education and college access for about 10 years. Currently, I head the Tracksmith Foundation, an organization whose mission is to support and grow the sport of track and field as an equitable opportunity provider.
