WELCOME TO RUSHCLIFFE PHOENIX BASKETBALL CLUB

The Rushcliffe Basketball Programme was founded in 1968 by former Nottingham boxer Fred Wingfield. Coach Jimmy “Jumpshot” Smith joined Fred as Head Coach in 1977 until his retirement from the club in 2021. Rushcliffe Phoenix Basketball Club continues with Head Coach Antonio (2021-present), supported by a host of wonderful volunteers and assistant coaches, who have been involved with Rushcliffe Basketball in recent years. Rushcliffe Phoenix staff provide a friendly, well-structured environment for players of all abilities from School Year 3-13 to learn and develop, with opportunities to play in appropriate, local-level competitions.
