Mandatory University Requirements
Having your immunizations current is a requirement of the state and university.
You must be compliant with CastleBranch in order for you to participate in the program
Sometimes boosters, repeat immunizations or repeat of the Hep. B. Series is necessary.
Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – positive titers (which means a blood draw with lab results)
Varicella – positive titers (which means a blood draw with lab results)
Hepatitis B – immunization record and positive titers (meaning proof of the 3 vaccine series & a positive titer with lab values)
Tetanus/Diphtheria – booster within the last 10 years
Tuberculosis – two-step PPD Mantoux Skin Test or the Quantiferon - TB Gold test with negative results
Meningococcal – immunization record of one dose of meningococcal conjugate on or after the age of 16
Please get started with your immunization requirements as soon as possible. Often follow up appointments are required to show immunity which will be needed prior to going on your first clinical practicum in week 4. You will not go out on clinical experiences which start on first semester if you have outstanding CastleBranch requirements. If you are not in compliance you will not be registered for the following semester. Please follow the directions from your acceptance packet to start the castle branch account.
CPR, Handbook Attestation, flu vaccination, Plagiarism and CITI training will be part of your orientation or first year coursework.
