Join the RUHS SEPAC WhatsApp Chat! It is a supportive parent-led space for families & caregivers navigating special education at RUHS. You can also get in touch with the RUHS SEPAC team via email.
RUHS SEPAC meetings are geared toward caregivers, but students are also strongly encouraged to attend, whether they have IEPs or 504s, receive outside services, or simply want to learn more and support inclusion. We will share information about our first meeting of the school year on WhatsApp.
Your voice matters! Our work is directly driven by the community, so we need your input to understand what is working, what needs improvement, and what suggestions you have for the school year. When surveys are sent out, sharing your experience helps guide our focus and efforts.
The RUHS SEPAC team is part of the Redondo Beach Unified School District Special Education Parent Advisory Council (RBUSD SEPAC). The Council is comprised of the parents, staff, and advocates of children receiving special education services in the Redondo Beach Unified School District and has representatives at each school site.

RESOURCES
The "Inside Special Education" slides created by the Redondo Beach Unified School District Special Education Department in May 2025, cover all special education programs offered across pre-K, elementary, middle, and high school, as well as the adult transition program.
Every year, the SEPAC team hosts an information session to help middle school IEP families navigate the jump from 8th to 9th grade. Details for this year's session are coming soon. In the meantime, you can access the presentation slides to get a head start.
This informational presentation series was created to help families of students with IEPs or 504 plans navigate transition planning and prepare for adulthood. It focused on what happens after graduation - guiding families and students through post-secondary options.
Organized by RUHS SEPAC, the series was presented during four meetings during the 2024-25 and 2025-26 school years. Explore the complete set of slides and resources below:
