Liubavas is located at the bottom of Lithuania right next to the countries capital, in the Vilnius area district. It may be a small and rural village, but close proximity to the capital and good connection by roads makes it a atractive place to live.
The area where the village is located is mostly flat and heavily forested, but the villages territory is mostly covered by arable land.
The village very is loosely inhabited 450,99 hectars of land are only inhabited by 43 residents.
I think the number of residents will grow in the upcoming years, due to: the village being located 25km from the countries capitals center, close to the highway and close to the second biggest river in Lithuania ,,Neris“, and also being the cultural hub by housing a restored manor and a museum.
Interesting fact Liubavas is located 7,5km away from the geographical center of Europe and also near it is a sculpture park ,,Europos parkas“ which is connected to the geographical center. The park was built by Gintaras Karosas, he is the same man that is restoring the manor in Liubavas village.
