Motion Detector
I use Leap Motion Controller for motion detecting, and one of the reasons why I use a camera-based detector rather than infrared detector is because the Leap Motion Controller serves as the "eyes" of computer, which allows them to "see" how we use our hands to interact with them and know the fact that we don't just have two fingers to press buttons of the mouse.
⬅️The project was Installed and showcased in UCSD Kamil Gallery in September 2023.
The idea of this project is also to show how we are able to interact with the computer directly with our hands, without traditional input methods such as using mouse as a medium between the interaction of human body and the machine and thus provide more immersive experience of direct interaction between human and machine.
The goal of the project is making a funny and playable virtual drawing project that enables the participants to interact for fun with their hands. In this progress, the hands of the participants serve as brush and computer will respond to their hand poses with fancy traces.
