A great first ultra, a wonderful 50th ultra, anything in-between, or take the much more reasonable two-hour afternoon option. We'll spend the day in Mingus Park on a 1.12 mile loop. It's basically car-free (you'll see a vehicle or two on a park entrance road) and approximately 70% unpaved.
It's smooth but not flat -- each lap climbs up about 140 feet in a quarter-mile trail section.
The park and course have two flush toilets and a covered gazebo we'll use as "base camp".
It's a free event -- I'll have a water jug, but BYO supplies and fuel.
