Should I carry a water bottle?
Yes, we recommend a minimum of a handheld.
Can I use trekking poles?
Yes, trekking poles are allowed. Please be mindful of other runners who may be around you in the first few miles.
What will the aid stations have?
The Playground aid station will consist of fluids such as water, electrolytes, coke, and ginger ale. Foods may include PB&J, potato chips, cookies, candy, fruit, pickles, etc.
The Fire Tower aid station is a self-serve aid station with more limited offerings. Fluids will be water and electrolytes. Food will consist of pre-packaged items such as cookies and chips.
I am running the 50K. Will I be able to access my vehicle in between laps?
Yes, The start/finish line is close to the parking lot. Depending on where you park, a trip to your vehicle may add a few tenths of a mile round-trip, but it is certainly possible.
Can I change distances?
Please complete any distance changes by editing your registration in Ultrasignup. Before the race, you may change your registration to a shorter distance, but you will not receive a refund for the difference in cost. You may also opt for a longer distance and Ultrasignup will charge you the difference in cost.
During the race, 50K runners can change to the 25K by opting not to begin the second loop. Changing distances during the race will result in a finish time for the 25K. Runners who change distances mid-race will not be eligible for any placement awards.
Do you offer refunds, transfers, or deferrals?

Can I run with my dog?
Our USATF sanction prohibits dogs from participating in the event. Spectators who bring their dogs must have them on a leash per DMRA rules.
Can I crack a beer post-race?
DMRA rules prohibit consumption or carrying of alcoholic beverages on the property.
Where can I can see my runner on-course?
50K & 25K
Start/Finish between laps (50K)
Outlet of Trail 2 (a few hundred feet from the Start/Finish)
Playground Aid Station. Runners make two passes through this aid station per loop (a one-mile hike uphill).

Aside from taking an ATV or bike up the mountain, there are not good options for seeing a 13K runner.
