The 28th Conference on Research on Undergraduate Mathematics Education is pleased to offer its full program both in-person and virtually.
All in-person attendees will have full access to the virtual space as well and can attend talks virtually and interact with virtual attendees if they wish.
Virtual attendees have full access to the entire conference program except they will not be able to attend the in-person poster session(s) .
Registration opened on Monday, October 27, 2025.
Note that at least one author for every paper and poster must be registered by January 23.
The last day for early-bird registration rates is January 9.
The last day to register for in-person conference attendance is February 6, unless it sells out before then; registration for virtual conference attendance is available until Feb 26.
(Please note that you will need to make an account with Virginia Tech's Continuing and Professional Education in order to register for the conference. When making this account please use your preferred name, as your conference name badge will pull that information from your Continuing and Professional Education account.)
*The In Person conference fee includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners and coffee and snack breaks.
Scholarship Fund:
As part of the registration process you will have the opportunity to make a donation to the RUME scholarship fund. This fund helps cover the cost of attendance for students without sufficient travel funds from their departments. If you would like to make a donation separate from your registration (i.e., you need that on a different receipt or would like to pay with a different credit card) you can register a second time, choose "Register myself or manage my reservation", and then choose "Purchase add-ons".
It is the intention of the RUME Executive Committee to support as many students as possible who do not have institutional travel/conference support. There will be a prioritization of students who are presenting papers or posters.
Support will come in one of two forms: A partial refund of your registration costs, or partial compensation for your lodging (e.g., having 1 of your 4 hotel nights paid for at the conference hotel). Unfortunately, we cannot know ahead of time how much the donation total will be, and thus how much support will be able to be provided.
