The local organizing committee secured a rate of $169 a night for this hotel, available from February 25th-28th (the four "peak nights" of the conference), as well as the three nights before and after.

Meals

The conference registration provides: Thursday dinner; Friday breakfast and lunch; and Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Several coffee breaks are provided as well.

The local area

Alexandria is a vibrant area near the nation's capital. The conference is about 0.5 mile from the famous King Street, which is a lovely mile-long walk through Old Town Alexandria to the waterfront along the Potomac River. Getting there

From Washington National Airport (DCA), take either the Blue line or the Yellow Line to the King Street Metro Station (10 min); the Westin is a walkable 0.4 miles from there.
From Dulles International Airport (IAD), take the Silver Line to Rosslyn Metro Station, transfer to the Blue line and take it King Street Metro Station (~70 min); the Westin is a walkable 0.4 miles from there.
For those arriving by car, the Westin has valet parking ($45/day) for hotel guests. Across the street from the Westin is Colonial Parking ($10/day). There is also limited street parking around the hotel.
