Fantasy Football Sleeper 2025!
RUMBOYZROBBIE- Volume is key in Fantasy Football! Now while the more casual drafter may say avoid the rookie hype or wait until preseason to see what you're getting, I'm telling you to zig while everyone zags! I know it's only July but before you know it everyone will be having Kaleb Johnson on their radar! Pittsburgh Steelers move on from Najee (Los Angeles Chargers), which vacated 263 attempts out of the backfield and at least 40+ targets out of the backfield which made Harris RB 20 last year. Johnson averaged 6.4 YPC at Iowa last year for 1,537 yards and 21TDs. Currently going in the 8th round which is clouded with a QB run and backs like Etienne, Warren, and Harris going in that range let me take the outside on this kid!
TDSTACO- Sleeper Pick –
Jauan Jennings looked great last year when given the chance and showed he could thrive in a volume role. The chemistry with Purdy kept building, and whenever he was asked to step up, he delivered. Now with Deebo out and Aiyuk dealing with both injuries and contract issues, Jennings is lined up for a real shot to eat. WR39 feels way off — I’m confident he’s blowing past that.
Jamie Perog- JJ McCarthy is the Cheat Code You're Ignoring! This might sound wild, but one of my favorite breakout picks for 2025 is a guy who hasn’t even played a regular season snap yet, JJ McCarthy. I’m dead serious... that dude is not real. And I might still be too low on him. The Vikings took him 10th overall in the 2024 Draft. They didn't luck into him, they chose him to be their guy. He flashed in last year’s preseason with 188 yards, 2 TDs, and 18 rushing yards... in just two quarters. Then Boom... torn meniscus. Brutal timing. He was showing real promise in the preseason, and just like that, he’s shut down for the year. No regular season reps, no chance to build momentum. Just stuck watching from the sideline while everything got put on hold. That opened the door for Sam Darnold, who randomly popped off for 4,300+ yards and 35 TDs, finishing as QB11 in fantasy points per game. But this is what Kevin O’Connell does, he gets results from anyone under center:
Kirk Cousins: QB7, QB13
Josh Dobbs: QB10 in 5 starts
Nick Mullens: QB14 late in 2023
Now McCarthy steps in, first round pick with a full year learning the system from the background. Elite weapons around him, and somehow he’s going outside the top 18-20 QBs in most drafts? That’s robbery. He’s throwing to Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson, with Aaron Jones out of the backfield and Jordan Mason for depth. The Vikings upgraded the O-line too (Ryan Kelly, Will Fries, Donovan Jackson), and they’ve got an early Week 6 bye to reset if needed. If you like waiting on QB McCarthy is your late round swing. He’s got the setup to smash and finish top 10 with major spike weeks in fantasy by the end of the year.
