Agent's RuleCheck Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 21, 2026

Agent's RuleCheck ("we," "us," the "App") provides compliance guidance for real estate professionals in Alberta, Ontario, and British Columbia. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.

Information We Handle

Documents, scans, and records you create. When you scan or import a document — including a photo of a document, or a driver's licence you scan to build a FINTRAC client-identification record — text and barcode reading (OCR) is performed on your device. The information you capture or enter — imported text, OCR/scan results, FINTRAC client-identification records, market assessments, saved reviews, and generated reports and PDFs — stays on your device unless you intentionally export or share it. This content is never sent to our servers or to the AI provider used for compliance questions.

A FINTRAC client-identification record or a market assessment can contain another person's personal information (for example, a client's name, address, and identification details, or a property's details). The App keeps this on your device; you are responsible for handling it in accordance with your professional privacy and FINTRAC obligations.

Compliance questions.

To answer your compliance questions, your question may be transmitted to our secure backend and processed using a third-party AI provider (Anthropic, "Claude") to generate a response. We do not store or log the questions or content you submit — they are processed only to return your answer. Please avoid including unnecessary personal or confidential information in your questions.

Address suggestions.

When you type a property address in Market Assessment, the App uses Apple's Maps service to offer matching-address suggestions; only the text you type is sent to Apple to return matches. This feature does not use your device location.

Location.

If you enable location, the App uses your location only while you are using it, to suggest saved inspection checklists when you are near a property. Location data is not stored on our servers or shared.

Subscriptions.

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Brokerage seat billing, where applicable, is processed by Stripe.

Device security. If you enable Face ID / Touch ID app lock, biometric authentication is handled entirely by Apple on your device; we never receive your biometric data.

Analytics.

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We may receive aggregated, anonymized usage and crash statistics from Apple's built-in App Analytics and TestFlight, which cannot identify you individually.

What We Do Not Do

Third-Party Services

Data Retention & Deletion

Content you create — including scanned text, FINTRAC records, market assessments, saved reviews, and PDFs — stays on your device and is deleted when you delete it or remove the App. We do not retain your questions, documents, or ID scans on our servers. To request deletion of any information associated with a support inquiry, email us at the address below.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect information in transit and on our backend. Locally stored content is protected by iOS file protection on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

The App is intended for real estate professionals and is not directed at children under 13.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including Alberta's and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA), you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
