AGREEMENT

Relates to the Intellectual Property Act No. 36 of 2003

1. Copyright Ownership: 

The Lyricist owns all copyrights for original literary and artistic works, including reproduction, sale, rental, distribution, communication to the public and translation, etc. The Lyricist has moral rights, including the right to claim copyright and the right to object to distortion or mutilation of the work. The Artist acknowledges that the Lyricist retains all ownership and rights to the lyrics provided to the Artist.

2. Compensation: 

The artist must pay for the use of the lyrics in compensation to the songwriter. The advance amount will be paid in full after the signing of this agreement.Full compensation will be paid to the composer before the song is received by the artist. The songwriter shall retain all copyright and ownership of the lyrics, and compensation shall not be deemed payment for transfer of ownership or copyright.

3. Duration of Protection: 

The Lyricist's copyright is protected during the Lyricist's lifetime and 70 years after their death. Protection applies to original literary and artistic works, including oral works such as books, computer programs, letters, speeches and lectures, stage plays, telenovelas, musical works, films, drawings, paintings, photographs, databases and documents such as translations.

4. Berne Convention: 

The Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works protects the works of Sri Lankan authors in all member countries, and the national law of that country applies.

5. Governing Law:

 This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka.

6. Entire Agreement: 

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior negotiations, understandings, and agreements between the parties, whether written or oral. This Agreement may not be amended except in writing signed by both parties.

1. make this to point wise,  "Our charges are determined based on the complexity and nature of the lyrics. 

2. Once you have paid an advance payment of at least five thousand rupees, we will deliver your lyrics to you within a maximum of one week. The remaining balance must be paid in full on the day you receive the lyrics.

3.  To maintain the security of the lyrics, we will deliver them to you only after we have received the full payment.

4. After you receive the lyrics, you will have up to one week to review them, correct any errors, and make any necessary adjustments to meet your specific needs. 

5. We want to emphasize that lyrics are intellectual property, and no changes can be made to them without the writer's consent.

6. We take pride in our writer's commitment of their time, imagination, and creative energy to craft lyrics specifically for you. Therefore, please note that if for any reason the lyrics are rejected, we cannot provide a refund of the advance payment made."
