Strong research interest in theoretical condensed matter physics.
B.Sc in Physics or a closely related field (degree to be completed no later than Aug. 2023).
GPA>3.0, TOFEL>80 (for international students)
Publication or research experience in theoretical condensed matter physics would be an asset, but not a requirement.
The successful candidate is expected to work on one or more of the following tentative research topics:
(1) Topological and/or unconventional superconductivity
(2) Defect response of topological quantum materials
(3) Superconducting diode effect
(4) Moire quantum matter
(5) Correlated topological phases
The successful candidate is also expected to work closely with our theory and experimental colleagues from the UT Quantum Material Research Cluster, as well as our collaborators from the Oak Ridge National Lab and other US institutions.
Please apply through the UT website. The official application deadline is Dec. 31 2022.
You are encouraged to directly contact Dr. Zhang via ruixing at utk dot edu before Nov. 15 2022. Please attach your CV and a copy of your official transcript.
