Yechen received his bachelor's degree in physics at Jiangsu Normal University. After graduation, he studied for a Ph.D. degree at Westlake University and served as a research assistant at ShanghaiTech University before coming to UTK in 2023. His previous research focused on first-principle calculations and low-dimensional magnetic systems, and now he is interested in topological physics and correlated systems.
Graduate Student (2023 - )
Zhuo Chen got his bachelor's degree in physics from Chongqing University. During his undergraduate studies, Zhuo was advised by Prof. Rui Wang on first-principles calculations of topological materials and conducted investigations into topological superconductors under the supervision of Prof. Donghui Xu. His current research interests lie in the realm of condensed matter, with a primary focus on exploring vortex Majorana physics in superconductors.
Graduate Student (2023 - )
Yuchang graduated from the Southern University of Science and Technology in physics. Yuchang has done research in topological order as an undergraduate under the supervision of Prof. Weiqiang Chen. He is now interested in theoretical condensed matter with a focus on topological superconductivity.
Graduate Student (2024 - )
Xiaoming earned his bachelor's degree in materials science from Wuhan Institute of Technology and his master's degree in condensed matter physics from South China Normal University. His master's thesis focused on the topological phase of matter under the supervision of Prof. Tao Zhou. After graduation, he worked as a research assistant at Hong Kong Baptist University, where he began exploring topological phases in acoustic metamaterials under the supervision of Prof. Guancong Ma. He joined UTK in the Fall of 2024. His research interests primarily focus on the topological phase of matter, algebraic topology, and acoustic topological phase(Experiment).
