Bike Team
Radford University has a set of 2015 Trek bikes that were purchased through the assistance of a Virginia Office of EMS Rescue Squad Assistance Fund grant. Our bike team was formed to provide additional services to the Radford University community. Our team can provide medical services at standby events to initiate rapid responses to patients needing care. The team is most frequently used for 5k running events or graduation ceremonies.
The RUEMS Bike Team is equipped with:
- Basic First Aid and Trauma kit
- A Lifepak 1000 automated defibrillator
- Portable O2 tank and oxygen administration supplies
- BLS airway adjuncts and ventilatory supplies
