This is my wall of paintings. Well, only a few could fit in here, but you could always find all of them on The Kalakruti.
Every summer during primary and high school, I took up a different hobby class. They ranged from skating to table tennis to dance and ofcourse art & craft. When I was about 12 years old I realized that I truly enjoy drawing and painting, substantially more than the other hobbies. I soon took up a formal art class under a teacher who trained me for 2 national level art exams. These were stressful 2 days long exams with a total of 6 subjects. I not only scored the highest possible grade but also came out of this as a fairly trained student of art. I thoroughly appreciated and respected that teacher and so continued to learn various forms of painting under him, even through junior college. By the time I was about 18 years old, I was on my own and I had began pursuing canvas paintings.
All through those 6-7 years, this hobby had sunk so deep in my heart that it turned into my passion. However, I still believed that I want to be an Engineer and have a career in science and so I did. However, I haven't ditched my passion of painting, no matter what how much stress academics create or even if I moved away from my homeland.
In July 2017, I decided to get involved in the artist community by sharing my paintings on an art blog. This was the birth of The Kalakruti. This art blog helped me reach out to different people in the society and be able to contribute my bit in several ways. One instance is when I could help a 9th grade student to prepare for the same national level art exam, and she was in fact successful in getting an A grade! Such tiny milestones and all the love and appreciation from my family, friends and followers of my blog, motivates me every time I pick up a brush and paint a stroke!
