A N.Z. European with a Kiwi mother and American father I have experienced the dynamics of a multicultural family. This has influenced my curiosity and appreciation of cultural diversity. As a parent and a child of blended families I have a sound understanding and empathy for others who are impacted by family separation and unique family dynamics.
My passion for supporting people with neurodiversity and their loved ones is fueled by my own experience of raising my two young adult sons with disabilities, including ADHD and Autism.
I have a kete full of anxiety coping techniques that I can offer my clients from my past Anxiety Helpline role. I have found this especially useful when counselling clients with trauma, stress, and neurodiversity at the Women's Centre and in private practice.
