Rubria Rocha de Luna
Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies and Digital Humanist

Welcome! I am Dr. Rubria Rocha de Luna—a scholar, university professor, editor, and electronic literature author. My work sits at the intersection of technology, visual culture, and social justice, supported by a multidisciplinary background that spans psychology, educational sciences, and software engineering.

I hold a Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies with a Graduate Certificate in Digital Humanities from Texas A&M University. Currently, I serve as a faculty member at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and Tecnológico de Monterrey, and I am recognized as a National Researcher Candidate (SNII) in Mexico.

As an editor and researcher, I have co-edited academic volumes on border studies and digital culture published by Routledge and Palgrave Macmillan. Beyond traditional scholarship, my career is driven by project leadership and applied humanistic practice. I am the founder of the independent press Illuma Press, the strategic consulting initiative Capitalización Estratégica del Conocimiento, the public humanities platform Redes, migrantes sin fronteras, and MigrArt-e—a research-creation lab dedicated to interactive electronic literature. Ultimately, my trajectory is defined by dynamism, an applied vision, and transformative leadership at the crossroads of technology, digital humanities, and social commitment.
