The Rubik's Cube has 6 side and 9 individual stickers. Each corner pieces has 3 stickers, and edge pieces has 2 sticker. Each face of the Rubik's Cube has 6 different colors: White, Green, Orange, Red, Blue, and Yellow.
Note: *Centers never move they're just guides to know what color you are facing other pieces and move but corners and edges can't switch positions, It's not possible.*
Learning the notations will help you learn algorithms along the way. To make things easier make sure the White side is facing up and the Green side facing you
' - Means turn the face Counter-Clockwise*
R - Turn the Right Face Clockwise
L - Turn the Left Face Clockwise
U - Turn the Up Face Clockwise
D - Turn the Down Face Clockwise
F - Turn the Front Face Clockwise
B - Turn the Back Face Clockwise
It might take some time to get this in your muscle memory. Now you know the Notations and how the 3x3 Rubik's cube behave, now let's proceed to Step 1.
This is the first step of the Beginner's Method, it's quite easy and intuitive.
Make a cross by aligning the Edge Pieces from its correct position, shown in the photo.
Learn Basic Finger tricks, it will help you along the way.
Note: Make sure the Yellow Side is Facing up.* (I turned the cube upside-down to know what it looks like when you have the cross solved.)
YOUR GOAL
Begin by find an edge piece that has a white sticker on it.
Put it in the top layer
Look on the side of that edge, that you put on the top layer, match the color of the side edge on the center, then do F2 (Turn the Front Face twice) do this four times because there are 4 edges.
If done correctly, you should have a white cross(shown above).
