Returning to the Void is my part towards that goal.
My Father's favorite saying was, "Life is just a game. It's all in how you play that matters whether or not you win, lose or draw. The choice is yours."
There are SO many wonderful resources on Github, YouTube, etc. but so few that really discuss clean code and how to start a project correctly in a living project. I'm looking for Clean Coders who have created an open-source project [example: Free Code Camp], game dev or Unreal Engine tutorials to help me organize an open-source project around Paragon.
My goal is to give this game back to the community and provide a live environment for displaced talent to work, learn and develop.
I'm old enough to have witnessed the birth of plug and play. Back in my day, being able to write code was a privilege only afforded to those with the knowledge or access to a terminal. And while in sixth grade I was given access to a P.E.T. and throughout my life I've been able to access the tools I needed to create programs, what I've often missed is: confidence - knowing where in the process I fit best and speaking to those strengths. Staying the course when others don't get who I am, or when I don't get myself b/c I don't have peers who are a reflection of me and encourage my growth.
I despise allowing arguments about things I really have no control over: gender, color, race, etc. as being the problem. Yes, its hard to work in a vacuum - a place where you don't see a positive image of yourself reflected back. However, it's all about perspective and we as individual's can change that. The Internet was created to change, or should I say address, the disparity on this planet.
