Welcome to the official web page of the Reactive Transport Workshop in Fontainebleau, France (2024).
The workshop will take place in Fontainebleau, within the library of Ecole des Mines, located at 200 meters from the famous Fontainebleau castle. The event takes place at the location of the Geosciences research department of Ecole des Mines de Paris. This workshop is organized by Christophe Tournassat (ISTO, OSUC, LBNL), Cyprien Soulaine (ISTO, CNRS), Carl Steefel (LBNL) and Irina Sin and Nicolas Seigneur from Mines Paris PSL.
Such an event could not be organized without the precious help from the staff from Ecoles des Mines. We warmly thank Veronique Lachasse, Sandrine Motte and Xavier Caillard and the technical staff for the time they took to help us organize this event. In addition, we want to thank our geologists (Damien Huyghe & Jean-Louis Grimaud for the geological field trip). Finally, we thank the DSI for the tech support.
The workshop will take place between October 22nd and October 25th 2024 and will focus on the latest development of Reactive Transport Modelling, from numerical advances to tackle highly coupled systems, to multiphase reactive flow, recent incorporation of Machine Learning and large-scale watershed simulations. Program details and the meeting agenda can be found on this page. Practical informations regarding the trip to Fontainebleau or potential accomodation can be found on the information page.
Participation to this event is per invitation only. List of participants can be found here.
