Miniature Week (Playing with size/ratio, looking at tiny things through microscopes, making tiny worlds, looking for bugs at the park, learning about microbes, reading Thumbelina, etc.)

Rainbow Week (sure, simple colors. But also mixing colors, kaleidoscopes, translucent/transparent, prisms, chromatography. Also exploring the sun/rain and how they help to make rainbows--water droplets, solar power to melt food/crayons, etc.)
