HOW DIAMOND BEGAN
Diamond did not begin as a product.
It began with a question:
Could a modern two-seat autogyro be designed differently — simpler where complexity brings no real benefit, conventional where proven solutions already exist, and original where a better solution is needed?
What began as a personal engineering challenge gradually became a complete aircraft project.
No borrowed plans. No kit to modify. No finished design to copy.
Just an idea, a blank sheet, and the decision to find out how far it could go.
Turning Diamond from an idea into a real aircraft means solving one problem at a time.
The project has progressed from early concepts and a full-scale cabin mock-up into detailed structural CAD, landing gear and suspension development, rotor head geometry, flight-control systems, propulsion integration and the selection of materials and manufacturing methods.
Each stage feeds the next. Dimensions are checked against real components. Mechanical solutions are modelled, revised and tested before they become part of the aircraft. Wherever possible, proven and readily available components are used — not as shortcuts, but as deliberate engineering choices.
The goal is not to make Diamond complicated enough to look impressive. The goal is to make every part as simple as it can reasonably be, while still doing its job safely, reliably and predictably.
Some solutions survive the first attempt. Others do not.
When something doesn’t meet the standard — it is rebuilt.
When theory clashes with reality — engineering wins.
This process has already taken Diamond through multiple generations of design decisions, corrections and refinements. What began as a concept is steadily becoming a complete, buildable aircraft.
This discipline defines Diamond’s identity: understand the problem, choose the right solution, test it honestly, and improve it until it works.

Concept
The initial Diamond configuration and design philosophy take shape: a lightweight two-seat autogyro built around simplicity, accessibility and practical engineering.
Full-Scale Cabin Mock-Up
A physical cabin mock-up is built to verify proportions, ergonomics, visibility, seating position and internal geometry at full scale.
Digital Aircraft Development
Diamond moves into detailed CAD development. The airframe, landing gear, suspension, rotor head, controls, propulsion installation and other major systems are developed as parts of one complete aircraft.
Engineering and Refinement
Individual systems are repeatedly revised as geometry, loads, component availability and real-world constraints expose better solutions.
Materials and Manufacturing
Structural materials and manufacturing methods are selected with the physical aircraft in mind. Design decisions begin turning into actual components, not just CAD geometry.
Prototype Preparation — Current Stage
The project is transitioning from digital development toward physical construction. Components, materials, documentation and manufacturing processes are being prepared for the first complete Diamond.
Next Milestone: The First Aircraft
The point where thousands of individual decisions finally have to answer one simple question:
Does it work in the real world?
What DIAMOND Represents
Diamond represents a different way of approaching aircraft development.
Not complexity for its own sake.
Not expensive solutions simply because aviation has always done things that way.
And not shortcuts disguised as innovation.
It is an attempt to find the right solution for the actual problem — using proven technology where it makes sense, developing something new where it brings a real advantage, and testing every assumption against reality.
Diamond is also proof of a process.
A project can begin with one person, an idea and a blank sheet — and grow through persistence, engineering discipline, mistakes, corrections and thousands of individual decisions.
The project is still evolving. There are still problems to solve, components to build and assumptions to verify.
And that is exactly the point.
Diamond is no longer an idea waiting to be built.
It is an aircraft taking shape — piece by piece, decision by decision.
