Ikumu Watanabe

After getting his Ph.D. at Tohoku university in 2006, he stayed at Swansea university, Wales, U.K. as a JSPS research fellow (PD). Then, he worked for Toyota Central R&D Labs., Inc. and moved to National Institute for Materials Science in 2010. He also stayed at Northwestern university, U.S. to manage NU-NIMS Center for Materials Innovation since 2013 to 2015. He started working at University of Tsukuba under NIMS-UT joint graduate school program in 2016. He worked for the Cabinet office of Japan as a project coordinator. He studies Computer-Aided Engineering and its application to various problems including material science and engineering.

Lishan Peng

Lishan Peng is an associate professor at the Ganjiang Innovation Academy, Chinese Academy of Science (CAS). He completed his B.S. degree in 2014 and Ph.D. degree in 2019 at Chongqing University, under the supervision of Prof. Zidong Wei. Subsequently he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the labs of Prof. Geoff. Waterhouse and Prof. Tierui Zhang at the University of Auckland and the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, CAS. His research interests focus on the design and theoretical study of advanced electrocatalysts for energy storage and conversion, such as water splitting, H2-fuel cell, and metal-air batteries.
