My mathematical name is Raquel Perales. I got a PhD in Mathematics from Stony Brook University in 2015. For seven years, I was an Investigadora por México at the Institute of Mathematics at Oaxaca, of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, (IMATE-UNAM or IMUNAM). I moved to CIMAT in January 2024 and I am one of the PIs of the Austrian Emerging Project A new geometry for Einstein's theory of relativity & beyond .

I am interested in Geometric Analysis and Riemannian Geometry. In particular, RCD(K,N) spaces, Ricci, integral Ricci and scalar curvature lower bounds, Yamabe-type problems, General Relativity and Lorentzian Geometry.
