In student council, we hold weekly meetings for all members every Thursday. We also hold weekly executive board meetings every Monday. These meetings are organized by a procedure called Robert's Rule of Order which is outlined in our constitution. In these meetings, we go through the elements of the procedure shown below by having the major officers speak about their goals, how they'll accomplish them, and what needs to be done. These meetings are also used to answer questions from the general members about any topic or issue they may have.
Along with student council's meetings, the school also has their own meetings through the Student Advisory Council (SAC) held at the beginning of each month. These meetings are attended by a few student council members as well as the advisor so that they can get a report of what was said during the meeting. The meeting contains information regarding school finance, current issues, and new business ideas for the school. This information is important for student council to have, which is why some members of the council attend this monthly meeting and report what was said back to the other members.
