“Education is not just the journey of gaining knowledge, but the transformation of how we think and understand the world.”
I began my academic journey at Shri Nandkuvarba Kshatriya Kanya Vidyalaya, where I completed my schooling and Higher Secondary education. It was during this time that I developed my first interest in language, reading, and learning, which laid the foundation for my future studies.
I then completed my Bachelor of Arts in English from Maharani Shree Nandkunverba Mahila Arts and Commerce College, where my academic experience was mainly focused on understanding the prescribed syllabus and preparing for examinations. During this time, I studied different literary forms such as poetry, drama, novels, and essays, which helped me build a basic foundation in literature. This stage developed my discipline, reading habits, and familiarity with literary texts.
Although my B.A. learning was largely exam-oriented, it gradually developed my interest in literature. I began to realize that literature is not only about completing the syllabus but also about exploring deeper meanings, ideas, and perspectives.
This growing curiosity motivated me to continue my studies and pursue a Master of Arts in English at Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University, Gujarat. At the postgraduate level, my approach to literature changed significantly. I moved beyond simple understanding to critical thinking, interpretation, and analysis. I also explored areas like literary theory, comparative literature, and film studies, which broadened my perspective.
“My academic journey is not just about degrees, but about growing through every step of learning.”
This transition from B.A. to M.A. reflects my journey from basic learning to deeper exploration, where literature became not just a subject, but a way of thinking and understanding the world.
“Through education, I moved from reading texts to understanding life itself.”
