The PTA organizes fundraisers to raise money to support staff and put on student-centered events that build community. Below are some past and upcoming events, we'd love your input and/or participation!

We sponsor a number of activities and programs at the school. Some examples:

• Raffle: 5 Prize Big Ticket Raffle 2025 get 'em while you can!!

• Fund: Replacement for damaged Headphones for Ms. Larson.

• Grant: New publishing software for Ms. Rubin for reading presentations.

• Fund: 7th Grade Field Trip, Science trip on Water Quality and Natural Waterways

• Host: Movie Night at Oak Grove Cinema, Feb 19

• Partner: Chapel Theater and Bridge City Improv Benefit Show

• FUND: Recreation Enhancement Initiative/ GaGa Ball

• Fund: All the books for OBOB (Oregon Battle of the Books)

• Raffle: Thank you and incentive Raffle for can & bottle donations: Race 2 Raise Rowe Raffle

• Fund: Teacher Grant Requests

• Grant: BSU 2023 Family Meet

• Grant: Fund school request to purchase yearbooks

How do we raise money for the activities we do?

Any way we can! Currently the PTA actively fund raises in several ways:

Blue Bag Bottle Drop: We collect refundable bottles and cans for redemption to the Bottle Drop locations in specially labeled Blue Bags. The 10 cent deposit really adds up. Local businesses and families donate their cans and volunteers redeem the bags at the bottle drop.

Blue Bag Breakroom Bottle & Can Drive:  We collect those same type of OR-10 Containers from local businesses and their breakrooms.   This leverages funds from outside the local school community, reducing the financial burden on local families.  Yet, this wonderful fundraiser actually saves time and resources for local businesses that partner with us:  No More Runs to the Bottle Drop for the Admin or Warehouse Foreman!

Dine Out Nights at local restaurants: We team up with a local restaurant to increase their business on slower evenings when the restaurant could use more business and in return we are given a 10-20% return on the sales during that time. This allows local businesses to thrive while families get to enjoy a fun night out together.

Fun out Nights:

Same as Dine Out, but geared toward recreational activities including:  Cruises, Theater, Music Venues, Sporting Events, Amusement Companies, and Arcades.

Big Ticket Raffle:

A huge raffle for truly wonderful prizes donated by the community.  In 2023-2024, we featured two great prizes:  A 3 day weekend at the Hearthstone Retreat, sleeping up to 11, donated by Pacific Audiology.  And, An 8 Person Escapology Party and Dessert at Cheesecake Factory provided by Escapology Clackamas and Cheesecake Factory Clackamas Town Center.

Dine-out nights:

These are easy ways for everyone in your family to participate, help raise funds for the PTA, and get some yummy food in the process! We'd love to do one dine-out night per month. Do you have a contact or idea for a local business who'd be willing to support us with a dine out night? Contact us, or send their information our way!

Join the PTA! We can always use more hands and minds.

Grab a Blue Bag from the office and take it home to fill and return to the Bottle Drop.

Attend a Dine Out night.

Talk about what we do and tell your friends! 

And remember, students can help as well.
