Research on Whiteness in Edmonton (ROWE)

This research project involves an exploration of white racial identity & whiteness in Edmonton and the surrounding area. 

I define whiteness as a privileged identity position that benefits white-skinned people and an ideology that works to uphold white supremacy in Canada. Whiteness becomes meaningful through Canadian cultural values and beliefs, the practices of institutions, and within Canada's infrastructure.

Am I looking to speak with individuals who identify as 'white supremacists'? 

No. I'm looking to speak with individuals who are White in order to better understand how this normative, 'unassumed' identity features in their everyday life.
