LA Region V Science Fair | February 12, 2026

Back to where it all started -- we returned to the LA Region V Science Fair after a successful event in 2025. Over 140 students in grades 4-12 attended the event in between judging rounds. Thank you to our volunteers!

Jennings Elementary School | February 9, 2026

Jennings Elementary School invited Rowdy's Math Rodeo to their family night. Over 150 students in grades PK-5 attended the event. Thank you to our volunteers!

AMC8 at McNeese | January 27, 2026

Each year, the McNeese Department of Mathematical Sciences hosts the MAA American Mathematics Competition for middle and high school students.  Rowdy's Math Rodeo made an appearance during the post-test pizza party where we premiered new Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival Maze Mats. Grand Lake High School | November 17, 2025

Grand Lake High School invited Rowdy's Math Rodeo to their school College & Career Fair. Over 100 students in grades 9-12 (the HS student body) attended the event. Students, Teachers, and even the Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office solved a puzzle or two! We premiered a new Puzzle-A-Day activity. Thank you to our volunteers!

CPSB College & Career Fair | October 20, 2025

The Calcasieu Parish School Board hosted a College & Career Fair, including Rowdy's Math Rodeo. Over 800 students in grades 7-12 attended the event. We premiered two new activities: The Towers of Hanoi and Shapes of Constant Width. Thank you to our volunteers! DMS Faculty: Haile Gilroy, Jennifer Melancon, Mario Gonzalez, and Tristan Salinas. Henry Heights Elementary | October 9, 2025

Henry Heights Elementary hosted a family math night featuring Rowdy's Math Rodeo. Approximately 50 students in grades K-5 attended the event. We premiered two new elementary-specific activities: Base-10 Blocks and Geoboards. Thank you to our volunteers! DMS Faculty: Haile Gilroy, Jenna Hacker, Jennifer Melancon, and Mario Gonzalez. Fort Polk Child & Youth Services | September 29, 2025

Fort Polk Child & Youth Services is an after-school program for students attending on-base schools at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Approximately 50 students in grades K-5 attended the event. LA Region V Science Fair | February 13, 2025

Our first-ever Rodeo featured origami fidget toys and models, The Bridges of Konigsberg, The Genius Star (a spatial reasoning board game), Brain Teasers, and Combinatorial Designs.
