Before Central Commons was built, there where old abandoned houses that were in this space. Overtime, the houses were tore down and new single family houses were built for first time home owners who would be able to afford living in this area. This neighborhood remains in the same absolute location, but the use of space has changed over time.

Central Commons is comprised of the following streets; E. 36th, E. 37th, and E. 38th between Central Ave. and Community College. The relative location of Central Commons is 2 miles from Downtown Cleveland.
