Genesis
July 2010, a group of young adults meets in New-Grove following an invitation made by the Rotary Club of Rose-Belle to launch a Rotaract Club for the district of Grand-Port/Savanne.
Under Rotarian France's presidency and with the Membership Director, Rotarian Roshan's support, they continued to meet twice per month to ponder over the idea.
The public awareness campaign "SAVE LIFE- Thalassemia" held in October 2010, organized by the local Rotary Club, acted as a booster. These young adults wanted to be partners in this endeavor and work for a better tomorrow.
Thus, on 24 January 2011, fourteen young people full of ideas to lead the change received their Charter from Rotary International. They were chartered officially as members on 5 March 2011.
The Team
The club currently has a membership of 22 young adults willing to bring a change in their surroundings. The diversity of our club is what makes it unique. We have members from various areas including Education, Law, IT, Human Resources, and Arts. We are not only diverse in our chosen career path but also diverse in age, values, and belief, however, we all celebrate these variations and keep our motto to heart, "It's Time To Lead The Change"

Club Leadership
During the RI Year 2020/21, the club is led by President Teeran Bhooal together with her team of superheroes, her board members.
President Teeran's vision for the club for this mandate is to empower members and guests of the club to lead on different initiatives of the club and to transfer the knowledge current and past presidents have acquired to all members in order to ensure legacy.
