With the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on our cabin door, all we were interested in doing was sleeping for the next few days as Covid took its course. We wanted for nothing, but were not really intested in food. Moving on to more exciting things, the morning after we arrived at Wallis Island and five days after we were confined to our cabin, the purser knocked on our door and proclaimed, "You're FREE!".
The waterfront at Mata'utu, the port for Wallis. We didn't get to go ashore here as we were late getting let out. However, the next morning we sailed out of the harbour and south to a small island (Ile Faioa) located on the rim of the fringing reef and found our quintessential South Pacific island. White sand, palm trees, warm water - all you could ask for.
Everyone grabbed their snorkelling gear and headed off in the Xplorer. One of the great ideas was that for those snorkelling and who were not strong swimmers, there were heaps of pool noodles so you could put one under your arms while you floated face down in the water and didn't have to worry about sinking.
After an afternoon of snorkelling, it was back to the ship for pre-dinner refreshments and dinner.
Right: As usual, another terrible dessert.

We then set off for Futuna and our last landing before turning south for New Zealand. We had meant to also visit Niue, but the authorities advised they were unable to accept us.
