The Roslyn Library is excited to launch a new rotating art exhibition series featuring the work of local artists. This program builds on the library’s tradition of supporting writers, makers, and community creativity. Exhibits will be on display in the library’s public areas and are open to the public during regular hours.
Submissions are open to residents of Kittitas County. We welcome artists of all experience levels.
We accept most visual art mediums including:
Fiber arts
Paintings
Photography
Mixed media
Sculpture
Please note: We are not able to exhibit video art due to equipment limitations.
All artwork must be family-friendly and non-discriminatory. Submissions containing explicit or discriminatory content will not be considered. Final determination of appropriateness is made at the sole discretion of the Art in the Library Committee.
Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis. Exhibits typically run for 1 to 3 months, and artists must be willing to leave their work on display for the full duration.
To be considered, please submit:
Images of the artwork you would like to exhibit (attachments or links are acceptable)
Details for each piece: medium, approximate dimensions, and number of works available
Dates your work is available for exhibition
Short artist bio, including your place of residence
Submit your materials to: roslynartinthelibrary@gmail.com
Submissions are reviewed monthly by the Art in the Library Committee, and artists will be contacted once a decision has been made.
Artists must be available on the day of hanging to assist with installation.
If you have fewer than five pieces, you may be considered for a group exhibit later in the year.
There is no formal limit on the number of pieces submitted, but final selection will depend on available space.
Artists are welcome to offer their work for sale, but must manage all sales and payments independently. The library does not facilitate or take commission.
All participating artists must sign a waiver releasing the library from liability for any loss or damage to artwork during the exhibit period.
Each exhibit will include an opening reception, and artists are encouraged to attend to share their work with the community.
