Roslyn, WA — The Roslyn Library is proud to announce the opening of its first rotating art exhibit, Quilts of Kathy Craig & Josey Kalmback. This debut exhibition celebrates the rich textile traditions of the Upper Kittitas County region through the work of two longtime area residents and artists.
The exhibit opens May 8 and runs through June 28, 2025. Exhibit reception is Tuesday, May 20 from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at the Roslyn Library, located at 201 S 1st St., Roslyn, WA 98941.
Following the reception, the exhibit will remain on display through June 28, 2025 and is free and open to the public during regular library hours.
Kathy Craig and Josey Kalmback have each spent decades quilting in the Roslyn-Cle Elum area, creating work that blends tradition, personal storytelling, and artistic exploration. Their quilts reflect a deep connection to craft and community—making them the perfect artists to launch this new local series.
This exhibit marks the first installation in the Library’s new rotating art series, a program designed to highlight the creativity and talent of local artists across a variety of mediums. The exhibit program is a natural extension of the Library’s long-standing role as a hub for community connection and creativity. From supporting local writers and makers to championing lifelong reading and learning, the Roslyn Library continues to evolve as a welcoming space where stories—in all their forms—can be shared and celebrated.
