CHESS CLASS DETAILS: Two hour session on 3 Sundays/month. The sessions will be focused on teaching concepts, rules, theoretical strategies etc and supervised practice games and game analysis. Roshen Chess Academy also organizes competitive Oregon state qualifier tournaments with official USCF (National) and NWSRS (NorthWest) chess ratings and prizes.

FEES: We are not collecting any fees for the academy. However if the students like the classes and if they want to continue to future months, they pay a small donation to one of the 12 non-profit organizations (nationally and internationally) that Roshen's Chess Academy supports. Roshen also donates all his winnings from the national/international tournaments to those non-profit organizations. You can see the funds we raised since June 2019 here. Roshen is also sponsoring all the materials needed to run the chess club from the prize money that he earned from his national/international tournaments.

CLASS SIZES: All our classes are now ONLINE. Even though Covid-19 was a big reason that we switched our classes from "in-person" to "online", we are now very much excited about the opportunities of engaging a variety of online tools and software to bring the best experience for our students. Currently we are running at full capacity on four batches.

If you like to place your kid in the waiting list, please fill out our registration form using this link: https://forms.gle/cRtqRBxzqJ4yRE3F8
