• I specialize in teaching adults and focused teenagers

• classical, baroque, contemporary, & jazz

• flexible rates for your situation

I have worked with flutists who are dusting off the instrument after 25 years, total beginners wanting to learn a new skill, and professional woodwind doublers looking to add flute to their paid gigs.

My priority as a teacher is your ease of playing, expression, and confidence/happiness. I like to teach using methodology that personally has served me in my journey.

I have a background in classical and early music that allows me to teach repertoire with historical accuracy and professional standards in mind. I also frequently play for jazz/indie/rock artists and will serve those professional goals as well. I love to encourage improvisation wherever there is interest.

$60/hour is a rate I would give in a situation that isn't financially limiting. I also do a community rate for friends/peers and tighter budgets ($35-$50/hour). We can negotiate something that works for us both, at any frequency.
